About Us:

Mobile phones 4 charity is a scheme where individuals, companies and other organisations can donate their redundant mobile phones (together with the battery and charger if possible) at no cost to them and, raise funds for a charity of their choice!

Mobile phones with their batteries are environmentally hazardous and should be disposed of correctly. At no cost to you or the charities we will regenerate your old mobile phone and at the same time raise money for a charity of your choice.

There are tens of millions of redundant mobile phones in the UK so the potential for the charities to raise funds is apparent if sufficient numbers of people are made aware of the scheme. So please help the charities and the environment and tell your family, friends and work colleagues.

Method Statement:

• The first process the equipment goes under once we have received it is to classify it, remove and destroy the sim card.
• Additional work is carried out to all items in category (b), these along with equipment in category (a) are then offered to our exporters who export outside of Western Europe.
• Any items that fall under category (c) are stripped of the following useable parts : Antenna, Battery Connector, Boards, Connectors, ICs, Keyboard, LCD Screen, Lens, Microphone, Phone Housing, Screws, Sim Card Assemblies, Speakers
• The remaining carcasses are added to category (d). We must stress that there are extremely small quantities that go into this category. These are then sent to appointed recyclers, who then recycle the scrap, following strict guidelines to comply with current legislation.
